What you'll do

  • Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components (including microprocessor replacement).
  • Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose technical issues efficiently.
  • Support and help coordinate the work of interns while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Design, assemble, and test electrical components for customer products, prototypes, and test systems in accordance with engineering instructions, technical manuals, and established electronics practices.
  • Assist engineers with the development and implementation of new designs.
  • Research, source, and order parts as needed, and maintain inventory for test fixtures, repairs, and related materials.
  • Test electronic units, including prototypes and customer products, using standard test equipment; analyze results to evaluate performance and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab work environment.
  • Perform additional shop and technical support duties as assigned.

Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled electronics professional to support the design, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic products, prototypes, and test systems. This role requires strong soldering and electronics repair experience, the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, and effective collaboration with engineers, interns, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities – includes but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components (including microprocessor replacement).
  • Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose technical issues efficiently.
