- Own labor and employment matters across the US business, including employee relations, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, terminations, and leave issues.
- Support and advise US operations, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams on commercial law, data protection, marketing, IP, and compliance.

Role Purpose
As we scale in the US, we're looking for an Employment and Commercial Counsel to help build out our legal function, with labor and employment law as a major focus alongside broader commercial and corporate work.
You'll join Neko's legal team and report to the General Counsel in Sweden. The role is varied and critical to navigating the legal complexity of Neko's expansion across North America, spanning employment, commercial and corporate law. Labor and employment work will take up a growing share of the role.
What you'll do in the first 6-12 Months
Labor & Employment: Own labor and employment matters across the US business, including employee relations, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, terminations, and leave issues. This is a major and growing part of the role as our US headcount scales rapidly.
Legal Advisory: Support and advise US operations, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams on commercial law, data protection, marketing, IP, and compliance.
Contract Management: Review and negotiate commercial contracts, including software and technology agreements, supplier agreements, and collaborations.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risk across our operations, technology, and healthcare services as we expand.
