Energy Marshall (Electrical LOTO Coordinator)

EPI Power is seeking an experienced electrical professionals, including journeyman electricians, to join our team as Energy Marshalls (Electrical LOTO Coordinators) supporting large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects. No prior Energy Marshall experience is required, candidates with at least 5 years of electrical field experience and the ability to read electrical one-line diagrams are encouraged to apply. 

This field-based role serves as the site authority for electrical energy control on large-scale data center construction and commissioning projects. The Energy Marshall (Electrical LOTO Coordinator) is responsible for overseeing and enforcing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), energy isolation, and energization procedures, ensuring full compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC, and project-specific Energy Isolation and Energization Plans. This role is critical to maintaining safe work conditions, preventing electrical incidents and arc flash exposures, and driving a strong, proactive safety culture on site.

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 

What You’ll Do

• Lead and enforce electrical LOTO and energy isolation procedures
• Review Energy Isolation Plans, Energization Plans, JHAs, and electrical permits
• Audit and monitor electrical energy control during construction and commissioning
• Coordinate safe testing and operation of electrical and MEP systems
• Serve as the single point of authority for electrical energy control
• Train employees on electrical LOTO and energy isolation processes
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and client requirements
• Communicate with project leadership, safety teams, and clients

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of electrical field experience in commercial, industrial, or similar construction environments (mission-critical/Data Center preferred)
• Ability to read and understand electrical one-line diagrams and construction drawings 
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and electrical safety 
• Experience with switchgear, UPS systems, generators, battery systems, or similar equipment is preferred, but not required
  
• Strong communication skills with a safety-first mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
