The Opportunity

Join Deakin's Entrepreneurship team and help shape the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. As Specialist, Engagement, you'll design and deliver engaging programs, content and initiatives that strengthen Deakin's innovation ecosystem and connect students, researchers and industry with opportunities in entrepreneurship and commercialisation.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver programs and initiatives that promote innovation and entrepreneurship
• Create engaging content, campaigns and experiences across multiple channels
• Build strong partnerships across Deakin and with external stakeholders
• Translate complex concepts into engaging opportunities for diverse audiences
• Evaluate outcomes and continuously improve engagement activities

About the Team

The Business Development and Commercialisation team works across Deakin to support innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation. Partnering with faculties, researchers, students and industry, the team creates opportunities that transform ideas into meaningful impact

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Experience in entrepreneurship, innovation or startup environments, with an understanding of venture development activities.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
• Experience leading programs, projects or initiatives and delivering outcomes aligned to strategic objectives.
• Strong communication, storytelling, audience engagement and visual design skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible content.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement and effective outcomes in complex environments
