Engineer Quality (Mechanical)

Job Summary: Support in understanding client requirements, defining testing requirements, implementation of Emerson quality requirements and resolving quality issues on assigned project/s. 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

• Review supplier test reports (welding, NDE, coating, heat treatment), inspection & test plan, testreports, manufacturing record book and ensure domestic or international client approval for thesame.
• Inspect raw material, piping bulk components (pipe, fittings, flanges, valves etc.), fabricatedcomponents like piping, structures and pressure vessel etc. for domestic or internationalprojects.
• Perform specific inspection/QC activities at supplier’s or Emerson manufacturing plantsincluding witness of material identification & testing, welding/fabrication, NDE, Dimension test,Hydro test, FAT etc. as per relevant international codes, standards, project specifications etc. &Coordinate with customer, 3rd party inspection agency for supplier inspection process.
• Assist in company ISO activities like quality management certification/surveillance audits,awareness programs, process improvement, etc.
• Ensure quality business process specific standards, procedures, work instructions, template areadhered to & demonstrate compliance in internal, project or external audit.
• Provide quality relevant specific input regarding QA/QC concerns highlighted by client & reportproduct nonconformances / issues during project execution. Support in investigation, correctiveaction implementation and satisfactory closure of quality issues.
• Report suppliers/fabricator quality performance on assigned project through tools like materialNCR and provide input for quality developments to suppliers/fabricators.
• Execute assigned tasks on effectively percolating global quality Initiatives in respective projects& contribute to continuous improvements.
• Supervise overall basic quality related activities on assigned project
• Supervise support activities pertaining to suppliers/fabricators product quality on assignedproject

For This Role, You Will Need: 

•Minimum Qualification – Diploma or bachelor’s in mechanical, production engineering or related discipline. Other graduate with relevant core quality experience can be considered.•4 to 8 years of experience in quality.•Experience in Oil and Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Major Fabrication, EPC/3rd party inspection agency.•NDT level II – Ultrasonic testing, Radiography testing, Penetrant testing.•Welding inspector certification like CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI or equivalent, IWE/IWT, Coating certifications like NACE/BGAS, NDT level III preferred.•Demonstrate personal commitment to safety and quality culture.•Conversant with MS office, word and PowerPoint & data analysis etc.•Conversant with National and International Codes / Standards related to material, NDE, Welding, Coating etc.•ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead auditor will be considered as an added advantage.
