What you'll do

  • Hands-on technical experience for application configuration/deployment or package selection and implementation efforts.
  • Provides comprehensive consultation to business units and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of application deployment and process implementation for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technologies, and tools, etc.).
  • Design system-to-system data sharing workflows utilizing leading system integration protocols and integration patterns.
  • Responsible for translating functional specifications into application design specifications, including but not limited to the creation of application architectures, hardware and software configuration specifications, relational database schemas, and component/class specifications.
  • Interact closely with the Business Systems Analysts, the client user community, and IT management and staff to identify technical solutions, or a combination of available alternatives.
  • Interact with AbbVie’s various infrastructures, technical and security teams to plan, deploy and integrate AbbVie technical services and components into a seamless solution.
  • Coordinates and facilitates application design sessions with development staff.

Job Description

The Information Research organization at AbbVie supports pharmaceutical R&D scientists with implementation of technical solutions that meet their needs. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with scientists and technology professionals, addressing everyday challenges and enabling digital transformation of our laboratories.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who enjoys solving business problems with smart technology solutions. In this position you will partner with business leaders to spot opportunities, improve processes, and help turn ideas into practical, effective systems. You will work across the full life cycle of business systems — from identifying needs and defining requirements to supporting implementation, testing, and change.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at  the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors  including  geographic location, and we may ultimately  pay more or less than the posted range.
