*This role will work normal office hours Monday to Friday

Under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor , the Engineering Technician provides technical support to equipment engineers for the improvement, installation, validation and transfer of replicate custom automated equipment used in the scale-up of manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products. These duties include supporting cross functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.

 

Where you come in

You will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.

  • You will test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment
  • You will operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
  • You will analyze and record test results, an prepare written documentation
  • You will perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
  • You will carry out activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer.  These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
  • You will follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
  • You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.
  • You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
  • You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.

 

What makes you successful:

  • Must be a fully qualified electrician with experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications
  • Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers
  • Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills
  • Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Technical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development - Experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentation

The annualised base salary for this position is from €52,360.00 to €67,760.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
