Summary of Position

The IT Intern will support the IT team with day-to-day operational activities while gaining hands-on experience in a professional technology environment. This role will assist with documentation, data management, record maintenance, and coordination of routine tasks, while supporting internal teams and learning IT processes and best practices.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day IT and business operations through documentation, data entry, and record maintenance.
• Assist internal teams with functional requests while following established procedures and guidelines.
• Help organize and maintain files, records, and other department documentation.
• Support project-related activities and coordinate routine administrative and operational tasks.
• Utilize computer systems and software tools to complete assigned work accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to support departmental goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

Major(s):

Rising Junior, senior, recent grad studying Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or related IT field

Availability:

• Must be available to work in St. Petersburg, Florida from May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027

Technical Skills:

• Basic computer literacy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with academic, personal, or team-based technology projects preferred
• Ability to learn new systems and software quickly
• Data entry and documentation skills

Additional Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to drive work independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Leadership skills including Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making, and Resilience
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment
