Environmental Technician 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Technician for our Raleigh, NC team.  

This highly motivated, detail-oriented, customer service-focused individual will be responsible for working on site for the client by helping them manage their hazardous waste programs.

This position reports to the Program Manager. This role is onsite at a client location and is based in Clayton, NC.

Responsibilities: 

• Operate forklift to move supplies as necessary
• Load and organize recyclable material onto trailers
• Communicate and schedule non-hazardous waste pick-ups
• Oversee on-site confidential document shredding
• Escort subcontractors & drivers to work locations
• Conduct eyewash & safety shower inspections
• Trash cleanup and removal
• Drain rainwater from containment pit
• Conduct forklift inspections 
• Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service
• Positive attitude and good communication skills 

Basic Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record. 
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, the hazardous waste field. 
• 1+ years of customer service experience. 
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn. 
• Ability to work shift hours of 7am-4pm Saturday/Sunday, 1pm-10pm Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, with days off on Thursday/Friday
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
• Must have a reliable form of transportation 
  
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC) 
  
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment 
  
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis 
  
• Ability to work overtime on when needed
  
• The Environmental Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive. 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Prior relevant industry experience 
• Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
• Forklift Experience
