  • Strong experience reviewing and interpreting prime contracts, specifications, tender documents, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Experience estimating building scopes including: General Requirements, Concrete and Structural Systems, Masonry, Structural Steel, Building Envelope, Roofing, Doors, Frames & Hardware, Architectural Finishes, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Fire Protection Systems
  • Strong understanding of industrial building construction, means and methods, sequencing, and project delivery approaches.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Design-Build, Construction Management, EPC, or Lump Sum projects.
  • Experience using industry-standard estimating platforms.

Bird Construction is seeking a Buildings Estimator to join our Industrial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for building scopes associated with industrial, manufacturing, power generation, and nuclear projects.

This role requires a strong understanding of building construction systems, subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and estimating across all major construction scopes.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Lead the estimating process from opportunity review through bid submission.
