Full-Time, Day Shift  

Environmental Services 

 

The Environmental Services Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the hospital remains clean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors. As a member of this team, the main duties will be to clean and sanitize all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms. 

The Environmental Services (EVS) Operations Coordinator serves as the department's central point of contact for administrative support, communication, work order coordination, bed board management assistance, and operational follow-up. This role prioritizes tasks based on departmental needs while providing courteous, professional customer service through phone, email, and messaging systems. 

Job Description: 

  • Coordinate administrative functions including scheduling, payroll/timekeeping, invoicing, work orders, and bed board management.  

  • Support daily EVS operations, including shift coordination, bed throughput, linen distribution, and operational assignments.  

  • Manage onboarding communications and provide administrative support through phone, email, and messaging systems.  

  • Schedule and coordinate departmental meetings, events, and team communications.  

  • Monitor linen inventory, place orders, and ensure patient care areas remain adequately stocked.  

  • Maintain department records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.  

  • Conduct quality audits, identify deficiencies, and support corrective actions.  

  • Collaborate with EVS leadership, nursing, and other departments to support efficient operations and patient care.  

  • Participate in huddles, committees, and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality, and team engagement.  

  • Support regulatory surveys and audits by ensuring departmental compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. 

Requirements  

  • High School/GED 

  • 1 year of experience 

  • Additional experience above minimum job-related experience listed above be substituted for degree:

    • 2+ years of customer service,  

    • 1-2 years of sales,  

    • 1-2 years in a similar administrative assistant role experience 

     

    Preferred Experiences: 

    • Sales or Administrative experience preferred 

    • Customer Service
