About this role
Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who shares our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.
THE ROLE
- Operate machines to achieve the required loads per shift to maintain production levels
- Carting ore to designated areas on the ROM, waste dump or underground tipping areas
- Possess excellent housekeeping standards to ensure machinery is kept clean and tidy.
- Maintain awareness of location within the mine and along with strong, positive radio calls resulting in optimum, continual truck operation
- Be organised and undertake all assigned tasks by the Shift Supervisor
- Be familiar and comply with all Company Procedures, Guidelines and Work Methods applicable to your role
WHAT DO I NEED
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence (essential)
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in an underground mining environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
- Excellent communication skills
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
