  • Assess and progress Positive Vetting security clearance cases in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), agency requirements and EY best practice.
  • Conduct structured, fair and professional applicant interviews, using effective questioning techniques to clarify information, explore potential security risks and assess relevant vetting factors.
  • Analyse complex and sensitive information, including employment history, financial circumstances, personal conduct, integrity matters, foreign associations and lifestyle considerations.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive and evidence-based case assessments, recommendations and supporting documentation.
  • Manage a complex and time-sensitive caseload while balancing quality, consistency and service delivery expectations.
  • Utilise electronic case management systems to manage workflows and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities and support continuous improvement across vetting operations.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk matters appropriately and engage constructively with quality assurance and peer review processes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders while handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

EY External Security Senior Vetting Analyst – Experienced PV Vetter

 

The opportunity

 

EY is seeking an experienced External Security Vetting Senior Analyst to support the delivery of complex Australian Government Positive Vetting (PV) security clearance processes.

 

This role is ideally suited to experienced personnel security vetting practitioners who have conducted Positive Vetting assessments in government, national security or similarly high-security environments. You will play a critical role in assessing complex clearance cases, conducting security interviews, evaluating sensitive information and providing evidence-based recommendations to support clearance outcomes.

 

Our roles can also be offered on a part-time, flexible and hybrid basis to balance your time between home and office. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

In this critical role, you will apply sound judgement, curiosity and a strong security mindset to gather, analyse and assess sensitive information against relevant vetting factors.
