About this role
JD:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, governance, and cloud platforms, with a strong focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for architecting end-to-end data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Real-Time Analytics, Power BI, and OneLake.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-scale data and analytics architectures using Microsoft Fabric.
- Define the overall data strategy, architecture standards, and best practices for modern data platforms.
- Architect and implement Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Design and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
- Develop scalable data models and semantic models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Integrate data from various sources, including cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and third-party applications.
- Design data governance, security, compliance, and data quality frameworks.
- Lead migration initiatives from legacy platforms such as SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, and traditional data warehouses to Microsoft Fabric.
- Architect real-time analytics and streaming solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, and enterprise architects to define solution roadmaps.
- Establish performance optimization, monitoring, and operational excellence standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architecture governance.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Analytics platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
- OneLake
- Data Factory
- Lakehouse
- Data Warehouse
- Data Engineering
- Real-Time Analytics
- Power BI
- Data Activator
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Azure SQL
- Azure Event Hub
- Azure Functions
- Strong expertise in:
- Data Modeling
- Data Warehousing
- ETL/ELT Architecture
- Lakehouse Architecture
- Medallion Architecture
- Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
- Experience with Spark, PySpark, and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, lineage, and compliance.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise data platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Experience migrating workloads from Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake, or traditional data warehouses to Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration within Microsoft Fabric ecosystems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with data cataloguing, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
