About this role
JOB DESCRIPTION
Chef Instructor to assist teach our college students in our Culinary Institute. In this role, you'll train all components of baking, from hygiene to plating skills. If you have specialized experience in a position such as Pastry Chef or Chocolate Designer, you may teach classes in those disciplines too. You will conduct lectures for our college students, give hands-on practice sessions, and grade pupil performance. You also need to have strong communication skills.
Ø Teach culinary classes according to course curriculum.
Ø Provide personal and professional guidance to students when needed.
Ø Develop creative instructional methods to engage students in learning process.
Ø Develop instruction materials and handouts for students.
Ø Develop daily lesson plans and instructional plans to meet course competency.
Ø Setup classroom, labs, and other school equipment and supplies for students.
Ø Prepare course assignments, tests, projects to improve students' academic performance.
Ø Maintain students' attendance and grade records and report the same to Manager.
Ø Evaluate each student's academic performance and provide feedback appropriately.
Ø Attend trainings and workshops for professional and skill development.
Ø Ensure that students follow disciplinary and behavioral standards on the institute campus.
Ø Develop cohesive, safe and positive learning environment for students.
Ø Provide support in student admission and retention processes.
Ø Attend staff meetings and communicate budget needs to management.
Ø Attend orientations, graduations and college events.
Ø Conducting research on food trends and techniques in order to stay current on cooking techniques.
Ø Conduct National and International conferences, workshops, seminars on cuisine and invite celebrity chefs (Indian & Abroad) for patronage ACCASI Students (Online or Offline Mode).
Ø Creating menus based on seasonal ingredients, ACA Farm ingredients and current trends in food preparation. Make a digital library for our college students for destiny use.
Ø Conducting taste tests of new recipes to determine if they are suitable for use by the general public.
Ø Professional and personal counselling should be given periodically.
Ø Responsible for taking care of ACCASI Cafe and maintaining the inventory, food costing, cleanliness, and assist with Director to create periodical menus for cafe, corporate meetings, special occasion dining etc.
