What you'll do
- Leading a team of HVAC technicians to deliver service and maintenance to HVAC & Chiller equipment at a prestigious manufacturing facility.
- Overseeing the service and maintenance of complex liquid chillers, including centrifugal, screw, and magnetic bearing compressors.
- Ensuring the highest level of service is always carried out, meeting client KPI’s and timelines.
- Maintaining high level of communication to our client is paramount to ensuring breakdowns and repairs are conducted with priority and criticality levels.
- Taking ownership of managing and issuing plant maintenance and service reports within a timely manner.
- Resourcing additional technicians form the mobile team and maintaining a continuous working relationship with other JCI line managers.
- Management of the site team out of hours rota.
- Ensuring EHS control and adherence must be maintained at all times, including the issuing of task specific RAMS, management of COSHH data, and regular EHS meetings.
- Management of site tools and equipment including PAT Test & Tool calibration recording.
What they're looking for
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 3 (or higher).
- Refrigerant Handling Certification (2079).
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) protocols.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning technician experience with Large Tonnage Chiller
- IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Apple iPad or other digital platforms.
- SC clearance is a requirement for site access, this will be actioned prior to the initial start date.
Nice to have
- IOSH qualification preferred.
- Previous experience working on nuclear manufacturing sites is highly desirable, given the safety-critical nature of the environment.

The Role
You will lead a team responsible for maintaining and servicing complex chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw and magnetic bearing compressors. You'll ensure service delivery meets client KPIs, manage workload planning, coordinate additional technician resources when required, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a team of HVAC technicians
Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activities
Reviewing and issuing maintenance and service reports
Managing out-of-hours rotas and resource planning
Ensuring compliance with EHS, RAMS and COSHH requirements
Managing site tools, equipment, calibration and PAT testing records
Working closely with site administration and client stakeholders
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 3
F-Gas/Refrigerant Handling Certification (2079)
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience & Skills
Strong HVAC/Refrigeration background with large tonnage chillers
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
Sound knowledge of EHS, RAMS and COSHH requirements
Ability to build strong client relationships and manage priorities effectively
Competent in Microsoft Office and digital service management systems (SAP and Service Max experience beneficial)
Desirable
IOSH qualification
Experience working within nuclear or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
