Field Operations Supervisor

At Service Stream, we're looking for an experienced Field Operations Supervisor to lead operational crews delivering maintenance, reactive works, and projects across the SA Water network. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time both in the field and supporting your teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes every day.

About the Role

Based from our Hope Valley depot, you'll oversee the day-to-day delivery of maintenance and operational activities across SA Water assets while ensuring exceptional standards in safety, customer service and field performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading frontline operational teams and contractors
• Managing planned and reactive maintenance programs
• Monitoring work schedules, labour utilisation and backlog performance
• Ensuring accurate works management system reporting and data integrity
• Coordinating projects and minor works activities
• Conducting regular field audits and maintaining a strong site presence
• Managing budgets and identifying productivity improvements
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team capability
• Supporting a rostered supervisory on-call function

About You

You'll be a practical leader who enjoys being in the field, building strong relationships and helping teams succeed.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience supervising field-based operational or maintenance crews
• A strong safety-first mindset and demonstrated leadership in safe work practices
• Experience within water, utilities, civil, construction, infrastructure or related industries
• Strong planning, scheduling and workforce coordination skills
• The ability to interpret civil and/or mechanical drawings and scopes of work
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative, solutions-focused approach to leadership
• Strong administration and Microsoft Office skills

What You'll Need

• Current Driver's Licence
• White Card
• Certificate IV in Civil Supervision (or equivalent experience) is highly regarded
