About this role
About The CareSide
As a family-owned and operated company, The CareSide delivers unparalleled support to home care recipients across Australia. Our mission-driven, entrepreneurial roots have helped us blossom into a national provider, meaning our clients and their families get the best of both worlds: the resources of an established company with the accessibility and authenticity of a local family-run business.
But what sets The CareSide apart?
We’ve developed proprietary software that enables us to operate far more efficiently than other home care service providers. It empowers our team to collaborate and do their jobs more effectively, all while passing substantial savings down to our clients and their families. Our unique blend of talent and technology has driven significant growth since our inception in 2017—and we’re just getting started. If you’re like us and sincerely passionate about providing the highest quality care possible, we’d love to hear from you!
About The Role
As our Field Sales Manager, you’ll build a high-performing field sales team that converts qualified meetings into new clients. You won’t be responsible for generating pipeline. Our marketing and inside sales teams generate and qualify inbound demand, allowing you to focus on what you do best: developing sales reps, improving conversion rates, and building a high-performing team.
You’ll spend significant time listening to calls, reviewing CRM activity, coaching reps, analysing performance, and developing sales processes that improve team effectiveness and efficiency. Your leadership will directly impact our geographic expansion across Australia. You will be responsible for hiring and managing a team of 8–10 field sales representatives across WA, SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD.
Success in this role is determined by the number of converted clients and by retention of top-performing sales reps.
The ideal candidate has experience leading field sales operations in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. The role will require occasional travel.
Your Responsibilities
- Own field sales performance against conversion, volume, and sales-cycle targets
- Develop, train, and coach field sales representatives
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, performance reviews, and sales training sessions
- Review sales calls and CRM activity to identify patterns in successful and unsuccessful sales conversations
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators — including conversion rates, win/loss analysis, and sales cycle duration
- Collaborate with marketing and inside sales teams to improve handoffs
- Set clear performance expectations and hold reps accountable for achieving them
- Become an expert in Australia’s aged care system, home care funding, and The CareSide’s service offering so you can effectively coach the team and improve sales
Your Background
- 2+ years of sales management experience
- Experience coaching sales representatives using KPI’s and performance metrics
- Experience managing distributed teams
- Strong understanding of sales frameworks and consultative selling —including buyer psychology, objection handling, and closing
- Ability to pinpoint how to help sales reps improve their skills while fostering a collegial and supportive work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyse data, identify bottlenecks, and streamline processes
Our Benefits
- Performance incentives
- Company laptop
- Mobile phone
- Opportunity to build and lead a new team
- High autonomy and low-bureaucracy environment
