The Position

Within our Customer Support Chapter at Roche Diagnostics Mexico, we are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge diagnostic solutions that empower healthcare providers to deliver precise, life-saving answers. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence and reliability of our tissue diagnostics and pathology platforms across top-tier medical centers.

The Opportunity

As an integral member of our direct Customer Support squads, you will maintain and troubleshoot high-complexity diagnostic equipment, ensuring zero disruptions in critical patient diagnoses.

  • Execute scheduled installations, preventive maintenance, and corrective service on complex tissue diagnostic instruments in accordance with global quality standards.

  • Diagnose and resolve electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related technical issues to drastically minimize downtime.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Application Specialists and Key Account teams to provide an exceptional customer experience for pathologists and laboratory leaders.

  • Participate in international technical training programs (Europe/US) to continuously expand your technical capabilities and stay ahead of technology trends.

  • Demonstrate high resilience and agility by managing emergency service requests, technical escalations, and weekend on-call coverage.

Who you are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Titulado) in Biomedical Engineering, Bionic Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related healthcare-oriented engineering field.

  • You bring 2 to 4 years of hands-on field service engineering experience troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or electronic equipment. 

  • You possess proven technical troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and software systems.

  • You have intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency (B2 minimum) to complete international certifications, read technical documentation, and collaborate globally.

  • You demonstrate a customer-centric mindset, strong resilience, and superior communication skills to manage high-stakes conversations with clinical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Prior field service experience within the healthcare, medical device, or clinical laboratory sectors.

  • Direct technical knowledge of pathology, histology, or tissue diagnostic platforms.

  • Exposure to digital pathology solutions or AI-integrated diagnostic workflows.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative cross-functional frameworks.
