Universal Pictures International (UPI) owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire.  In other territories UPI market and distribute movies through its JV offices, as well as in select territories, licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPl's behalf as well as production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.​

Job Description

• Assist Accounts Payable (AP) in the set-up of new vendors and customers via NBCU support central systems.
• Preparation of Bank and General Ledger Reconciliations – preparing journals, cash receipting and manual payment entries.
• Audit support from Mar-May
• Assistance with Marketing open PO’s and liaising with AU and NZ team and AP team on older film titles produced by Universal.
• Supporting with intercompany recharges across NBCUniversal business units.
• Reconciliation of credit card statements and business expenses.
• Data entry for third party reporting and forecasting.
• Month and Quarter end accounting journal preparation
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS Returns.
• Entering of vendor invoice details for payment requisitions.
• Other ad-hoc administration and finance tasks as requested in supporting the finance function

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• General understanding and interest in the finance function
• Ability to work independently and to enter data quickly and accurately
• Intermediate level Excel 
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• An organized and methodical approach to working
• Able to follow instructions while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Positive 'can do' attitude

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

• Ideally working towards university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Commerce or Business
• Passion for film and the media industry.

 

This part-time internship requires a 9-month commitment from March 2027 to December 2027.
