As the UK's leading motorway service area operator, we're investing heavily in the future of mobility through our expanding EV infrastructure and evolving fuel strategy. To support that journey, we're looking for a commercially minded Finance Analyst - EV & Energy to join our growing team.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting and fastest-growing areas of our business. Working alongside the Senior Finance Manager - EV & Energy, you'll help provide the insight, analysis and financial modelling that supports major investment decisions and long-term strategic planning. The role has been created as a result of continued growth and offers genuine opportunities for development as the business evolves.

With 51 EV SuperHubs and 1,187 High Powered Charging bays across the UK motorway network, Moto is at the forefront of making EV charging more accessible for drivers while continuing to develop our broader fuel offering. You'll be joining a team helping deliver one of Moto's key strategic priorities: leading the transition to cleaner energies while supporting the needs of today's travellers

What you'll be doing:

Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and wider EV & Energy team, you’ll support a broad range of commercial finance activity, including:

  • Supporting the EV & Energy business plan

  • Exploring the financial impact of EV and Energy activity across the wider Moto business

  • Building long-term financial models for different strategic scenarios

  • Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting

  • Researching EV, power and energy market trends

  • Developing your understanding of grid power, solar energy and customer charging behaviour

  • Preparing presentations, operational reports and investment appraisals

  • Supporting debt cashflow and covenant compliance modelling where required

  • Providing insight through ad hoc analysis

  • Building your knowledge of key players, activity and emerging trends within the EV and Energy markets

What we’re looking for:

You’ll be a motivated and curious individual who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and turning information into meaningful insight.

  • Part-qualified status or an intention to study towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification
