What you'll do
- Assist in financial data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis, to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Help with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports for budget meetings.
- Assist in preparing, maintaining, validating, and updating standard costing information, including supporting the annual standard cost roll and periodic cost updates.
- Support inventory-related activities, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and analysis of inventory or costing variances.
- Support the finance team with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and insights.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information, adhering to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the finance team.

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/ diploma in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles; interest in cost accounting and manufacturing finance is an asset.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy and comfortable to handle large sets of numerical data.
- Good Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis.
- Quick learner who is self-motivated, organized, and willing to take initiative.

- Ability to interact effectively with management, plant personnel, auditors and various finance personnel at other divisions

As our next Finance Co-op Student, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting key financial operations, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and costing activities. Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will gain hands-on experience while contributing to projects that help drive informed business decisions and operational success. What We’re Looking For:
