  • Drive forecast accuracy through driver-based forecasting, scenario planning, and data-driven analysis.

  • Influence portfolio strategy through financial modeling, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and fact-based recommendations.
  • Oversee month-end close and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, compliance, and adherence to AbbVie policies and SOX requirements.
  • Advance finance capabilities through automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, process simplification, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of eight finance professionals, including four direct reports, while building capabilities through coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and an inclusive culture of accountability and collaboration.

Job Description

The Finance Director serves as the primary strategic finance partner to the US Specialty & Eye Care Leadership Team, providing financial leadership, business insights, and decision support to drive sustainable growth, optimize investments, and deliver financial commitments. This role is accountable for financial planning, forecasting, performance management, reporting, and strategic business support across a portfolio generating approximately $2.4 billion in net sales and managing over $250 million in commercial investments and operating expenses. The Finance Director serves as a trusted advisor to commercial leadership, influencing portfolio strategy, resource allocation, pricing decisions, and investment priorities while leading a team of eight finance professionals

Responsibilities:
