Role Title: Finance Manager - Costing & Process Innovation

Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid | Public Multinational)

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Are you a forward-thinking finance professional looking to take full ownership of a high-visibility, SOX-relevant accounting function within an expanding US-listed public company?

We are seeking an ambitious, innovative Finance Manager to lead our Cork-based costing function. This is not just a standard reporting role-it is a growth opportunity for a tech-minded finance leader ready to challenge traditional close cycles, rethink legacy workflows, and drive automation, process simplification, and data analytics across global operations.

What Makes This Role Unique: Innovation & Impact

We are actively restructuring our finance function around AI-enabled process simplification, automation, and digital optimization. You will act as the primary catalyst for modernizing how we manage period cost reporting, standard costing, and inventory valuation:

  • Process Automation & Digitization: Identify, design, and deploy process improvements using automation tools, RPA, AI-assisted compliance/reporting applications, or data analytics to eliminate manual spreadsheet reliance and reduce close timelines.

  • Cross-Functional Influence: Work at the intersection of Finance and Operations to provide actionable insights into PPV, inventory reserves, and cost variance components.

  • Scalable Infrastructure: Drive continuous improvement across systems and internal controls (SOX), turning complex cost data into structured, automated executive reporting.
