About the role In this role based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Supply Chain Finance Senior Manager and support the Supply Chain and RDD teams with financial analysis and insight that supports the delivery of the Design for Excellence (DFx) strategic objectives; we play a key part in Dyson overall success. The role assumes active engagement in senior management decision-making processes including attendance at senior management meetings and insights-based advisory during key decision-making moments; by providing data-based insights, summarising financial models and presenting potential scenarios. The focus is to structure and drive savings initiatives and bring out the story behind the numbers and providing insights that inform decision-making around costs and supply to ensure we optimize the use of our financial resources and continue to improve profitability. Core accountabilities: • Partner DFx, Supply Chain and RDD Leadership to Drive Strategic Decision-Making: Partner with Supply Chain and RDD stakeholders, providing financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations that support the delivery of Design for Excellence (DFx) objectives • Identify, Structure and Drive Cost Optimisation Initiatives Lead the evaluation, prioritisation, and financial governance of cost reduction and value engineering opportunities, ensuring initiatives deliver sustainable savings while balancing product performance, quality, supply continuity, and customer outcomes. • Develop Robust Business Cases and Investment Analysis Build financial models and assess strategic opportunities by leveraging should cost analysis for targeted opportunities by Product and model • Support Senior Leadership Decision Forums Actively contribute to senior management meetings and strategic reviews by presenting financial analysis, summarising options, highlighting risks and opportunities, and facilitating informed decision-making. • Drive Financial Governance of DFx Savings Programmes Establish and maintain robust tracking, validation, and reporting of savings initiatives, ensuring financial benefits are measurable, accurately recorded, and delivered in line with business commitments. About you • A bias for action, with high levels of resilience and drive, able to see the strategic big picture but also to roll sleeves up and get into the detail and delivery of financial projects. • Energetic, engaging and pacey, with high EQ and the ability to motivate and inspire in a matrixed environment. • Clear communicator; decisive and excellent influencer. • Able to challenge all areas of activity, especially elements that ‘have always been done’ and recommend new approaches to meet financial objectives. • Strong team player and sound management skills - visible and inspiring leadership style at both a local and international/regional level. Helping to manage, develop, up-skill and promote a best-in-class function. • Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways • Naturally Inquisitive - comfortable and willing to interrogate existing systems with large amounts of data for answers but accepts that not every query has an exact answer • Proactive in proposing ideas to challenge status quo • Experience in working across functions and cultures and dealing with overseas entities
