Finance Officer_FM (Talent Pooling)

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide financial and accounting support for the FM, Minor Engineering, and HVAC Works project from Head Office. Assists in AP/AR, financial reporting, and ensures compliance with accounting standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process accounts payable transactions, verifying invoices against POs and delivery documents.
• Process accounts receivable, tracking client payments per contract terms.
• Prepare payment vouchers and coordinate with banks.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and budget variance analyses.
• Process expense claims and petty cash reconciliations.
• Support payroll coordination with HR.
• Assist with tax declarations and statutory filings.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Report health & safety, environmental, and food safety hazards and near misses/incidents observed in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. Follow and maintain all applicable ISO standards and requirements.

• Banks (Haiti), Tax authorities, Vendors, Auditors

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE WITH MINIMUM EDUCATION REQ'T:

• 3+ years in accounting or finance

SYSTEMS/ EQUIPMENT OPERATION KNOWLEDGE:

• Financial systems (Oracle, SAP).
• Advanced MS Excel.
• Accounting software

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ PROFESSIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED:

• Accounting principles.
• Financial reporting.
• AP/AR processes.
• Haitian tax regulations.
• Invoice management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluent in English; French preferred.
• CIMA, CA, ACCA, CPA certification advantageous.
• May be based at Head Office (GFAC/Corporate).
