A Day in the Life

Within the Global Sales Center of Excellence (CoE) team, we coordinate and manage all financial aspects of the sales cycle in our region, including customer incentives, revenue recognition, new sales models, sales & product structures, sales reporting and sales incentives calculations & accruals.

In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for revenue recognition and new business models. Based on business requirements we design processes and capabilities to support new sales initiatives. After deployment we are often responsible for coordinating the end-to-end process, as we are for leasing capital equipment and service contracts in the EMEA region. Besides that, you support Integrated Health Solutions (IHS). This is an Operating Unit that offers end-to-end solutions for hospitals in which products and services are combined.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Review business cases and apply revenue recognition rules to determine financial impact and translate into SAP order entry solutions

  • Partner with IT & Customer Care on SAP capabilities for new business models

  • Act as spider in the web between the business, Customer Care, business finance and IT

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and prepare US GAAP disclosures

You will closely liaise with other value streams, OU finance analysts, Sales Operations, Customer Care & IT.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance and/or Accounting

  • 0-4 years relevant working experience in Finance 

  • Perfect command of English, written and spoken 

  • Experience with an ERP system (preferably SAP) 

  • Advanced user MS Office (Excel, Access)

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
