Boys Town is seeking a Financial Operations Analyst. This position will play a key role in supporting financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision making across our business units. This position partners with leadership to provide meaningful financial analysis, improve reporting processes, and ensure fiscal stewardship of mission-driven programs. Ideal candidates will bring strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a collaborative approach to solving complex business challenges.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are not offering sponsorship to applicants for employment visa status.

Position is on site in Omaha, NE.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Manages financial and accounting operations of assigned departments.

  • Reviews and validates financial data from multiple systems to ensure integrity and consistency.

  • Supports monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, including required reconciliations.

  • Prepares, analyzes, and presents financial statements, variance analyses, and management KPIs.

  • Leads the development of annual budgets and scenario planning models in collaboration with business partners and the FP&A team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES:

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.

  • Intermediate Excel and financial modeling skills; proficiency with ERP or financial systems.

  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or FP&A functions

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.

  • Ability to successfully manage the quality and content of all financial data, reporting, and audit coordination for supported business units.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and improve organizational outcomes.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting required.

  • Ability to travel as needed required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of non-profit accounting preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks.  Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
