The Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to build deep expertise in stock plan operations while helping drive strategic business initiatives? Fidelity Workplace Investing is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst, Stock Services to join our growing team. This unique role combines hands-on operational responsibilities with project leadership opportunities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys learning complex processes, solving problems, and influencing positive business outcomes.

In this position, you will develop expertise across multiple areas of the Stock Services organization, including dividend processing, reconciliation activities, client onboarding, and proxy administration. You will partner with experienced associates to learn end-to-end stock services functions while helping identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, and support key strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and support core Stock Services operations, including dividend processing, reconciliation activities, and client onboarding.
  • Execute critical operational processes while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong risk management practices.
  • Support the administration of stock funds and related ongoing client servicing activities.
  • Partner with internal business teams, trustee banks, transfer agents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of stock services functions.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and help drive operational excellence initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in strategic projects that enhance the client experience and improve business outcomes.
  • Develop expertise in proprietary systems and tools, including UDA applications and associated processes.
  • Provide operational support for proxy-related activities and shareholder communications.

Responsibilities

The Workplace Investing (WI) Proxy Group is responsible for soliciting participant voting instructions and elections related to shareholder rights associated with publicly traded securities, including common stock and mutual funds.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Support proxy event administration and associated operational workflows.
  • Assist with participant communications related to voting and shareholder rights.
  • Learn proxy solicitation processes and controls.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory and client requirements are met.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and participant experience within proxy operations.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial services, operations, stock services, brokerage operations, or related fields.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and utilize proprietary systems, including UDA applications and related workflows.
  • Experience performing reconciliations and researching operational discrepancies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for identifying efficiencies and driving change.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
