The opportunity

The IT Support Technician is responsible for resolving support requests from users by diagnosing and resolving software and hardware incidents submitted by users in the IT service desk system.

 

The role

• Provide continuous end user computer support with increasing levels of complexity with some supervision.
• Acquire intricate knowledge of the company’s IT infrastructure; account management, file and security permissions.
• Perform primary analyses and data gathering of information for reported IT incidents.
• Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
• Install and configure new IT systems, software and services.
• Manage and maintain mobile phone devices and services.
• Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customer issues and requests are treated efficiently and professionally.

The requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 2 to 5 (two - five) years' experience in an IT Service Desk environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Windows environment.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration mindset.
• Results oriented
