The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy, metals, and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professional’s trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.

The Fixed Income Division - FXEM COO Team is seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Executive Director / Vice President to join the team and support the Global FXEM Sales Franchise.

This individual will serve as a senior partner to the Global FXEM Head of Sales and Global FXEM COO, helping to define priorities, drive execution and manage the strategic and operating agenda of the franchise. The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, commercial judgment, strong execution and the ability to operate effectively across a complex global organization.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with a high degree of independence, bring structure to ambiguous problems, identify issues and opportunities proactively, and drive initiatives from conception through implementation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as a senior thought and execution partner to the Global FXEM Head of Sales and Global FXEM COO, helping set priorities and drive the strategic and operating agenda of the franchise.
• Own and execute key business initiatives from problem definition through implementation, bringing structure to complex issues, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring accountability and follow-through.
• Partner with Sales and Trading leadership on business and client strategy, including growth opportunities, client prioritization, resource allocation and competitive positioning.
• Use commercial judgment, data and market intelligence to identify opportunities, risks and emerging issues, translating analysis into clear recommendations and actions.
• Drive key business management and operating processes, including senior management materials, business reviews, performance analysis and follow-up on priorities.
• Partner effectively across Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology and other COO teams to navigate dependencies and resolve issues.
• Anticipate the needs of senior leadership, independently taking ownership of issues and escalating appropriately with potential solutions.
• Build strong relationships across the global organization and serve as a trusted and credible partner on strategic, organizational and business matters.

Skills & Experience Required

• Significant experience in a COO/business management, strategy, Sales, Trading or comparable role within a complex financial markets organization.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to quickly understand the economics, clients and strategic priorities of a business.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with senior leaders and independently drive priorities with limited direction.
• Strong execution skills and a track record of taking ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from concept through delivery.
• Highly proactive with a strong sense of ownership, sound judgment and the ability to anticipate issues and develop solutions.
• Ability to influence without formal authority and drive outcomes across businesses, functions and geographies.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues into concise, decision-oriented recommendations for senior management.
• FX, Emerging Markets and/or broader Fixed Income experience strongly preferred.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Vice President and between $225,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Executive Director. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
