We are looking for an experienced and analytical FMCG Power BI professional with 4–9 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and FMCG analytics, with the ability to transform complex business data into actionable insights.

The role will involve working closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and business teams to develop scalable dashboards, automate reporting processes, and provide data-driven insights that support commercial and operational decision-making.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports covering sales, distribution, revenue, profitability, inventory, supply chain, and other FMCG business metrics.
• Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions, ensuring dashboards are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
• Build robust data models using Power BI, including relationships, calculated columns, measures, hierarchies, and appropriate modeling techniques.
• Develop complex and optimized DAX calculations to support advanced business metrics, KPIs, time intelligence, sales analysis, and profitability reporting.
• Analyze FMCG-specific data such as primary and secondary sales, market share, SKU performance, outlet coverage, distributor performance, product movement, promotions, and regional trends.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and other business applications.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, and preparation using Power Query and other relevant tools.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify reporting gaps, define KPIs, and develop analytical solutions that address business needs.
• Optimize existing Power BI reports and data models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Automate recurring reports and manual analytical processes to improve reporting efficiency.
• Identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and performance gaps through detailed data analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and governance across reporting solutions.
• Present analytical findings and business insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Must-Have Skills

• 4–9 years of experience in Power BI, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI and dashboard development.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX, including complex measures, calculated tables, filter context, and time-intelligence calculations.
• Strong understanding of FMCG Analytics and commercial metrics.
• Experience with data modeling, Power Query, ETL concepts, and data visualization.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, querying, and validation.
• Ability to work with large and complex datasets and convert them into meaningful business insights.
• Strong understanding of sales, distribution, revenue, inventory, product, and customer analytics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with FMCG sales, distribution, supply chain, or commercial analytics teams.
• Exposure to ERP/CRM systems and multiple data sources.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service, workspace management, scheduled refreshes, and row-level security.
• Understanding of data warehousing and BI architecture.
• Experience automating reporting and building standardized KPI frameworks.
