Job Purpose

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction through the pulling/picking/shipping/piling of finished ambient goods. This motivated individual will be in a role that will affect all reaches within the VDF/FC organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Ability to work in varying temperature environments

• Organize paperwork (i.e. pick tickets, shipping manifests, shipping labels)

• Ability to operate pallet jack, forklift and ERP scanners

• Pull product per pick ticket

• Pile items within the warehouse as directed

• Daily receipt and loading of product to/from Straight-trucks, Tractor-trailers or overseas containers

• Cycle counting/on demand inventory counting

• Clean up of the warehouse area

• Responsible for the proper receipt, pulling, piling and organization of finished goods

• Ship product out via preferred carrier (UPS/FedEx/common) for all customer routed finished goods

• Additional duties as required

Qualifications-Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications-Required and Preferred Skills

Required skills:

• Ability to follow instructions set forth from daily requests

• Developed listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Organizational and detail skills.

• Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

• Must be a problem-solver with the ability to use good judge

• Experience within shipment portals

• Ability to drive a forklift

• Ability to lift 50lbs

Skills not required but preferred:

• Experience with ERP/WMS

Computer Skills:

• Basic Computer skills
