  • Are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built.
  • Are interested in technology and excited to experiment with new AI-enabled creative workflows.

About Starbridge

We're building the front door for how businesses partner with government in America.

Public agencies spend roughly a trillion dollars a year with private companies, and nearly all of it still moves through infrastructure that hasn't changed in decades. Starbridge is building the full operating system for that relationship: the data, the signals, the workflows, and the rails that let a company find a public buyer, win the work, and get paid.

We monitor 320,000+ public sector entities around the clock. 500+ customers have joined us since our launch in March. We've raised $50M from top investors including Craft and Michael Seibel of Y Combinator.

About the role

We're looking for a Founding Video Producer to build the video practice at Starbridge.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can take a project from an early idea all the way through final delivery. You'll lead video across product launches, customer stories and testimonials, brand campaigns, social, and other marketing initiatives.

You should be equally comfortable directing a larger production with an external studio and rolling up your sleeves to make something yourself on an iPhone.

You'll start as an individual contributor on the Marketing team, reporting to the Creative Director. Longer term, you'll define how video works at Starbridge and build the systems and creative standards around it, with a path to building an internal studio team.

We like work that makes a complex product feel simple, human, and exciting; has a clear point of view; and brings humor, personality, and unexpected ideas into the world of software.

We care deeply about taste, craft, storytelling, and creative ambition, and we'd like you to define what that means for Starbridge video content.

What you’ll do:

Creative direction & storytelling

  • Find compelling ways to communicate complex products and technical ideas without making them feel like traditional B2B software videos.

  • Establish and evolve Starbridge's visual and storytelling language for video.

  • Build the video strategy for our media brand BRIDGES from zero to one.

Production & post-production

  • Own production budgets, timelines, scopes, and deliverables in partnership with the content team.

  • Lead productions across product launches, customer testimonials, brand campaigns, social content, and other marketing initiatives.

  • Be hands-on when it makes sense: shoot, edit, produce, and finish smaller or fast-moving projects internally.

  • Build production processes appropriate to the project rather than defaulting to the same level of production every time.

External production & partners

  • Build and manage a trusted network of freelance directors, DPs, editors, animators, and motion designers.

  • Hold external partners to a high creative and production standard.

AI & new creative workflows

Our design team is actively changing how we work as new AI tools become part of the creative process. We want video to evolve the same way.

  • Experiment with AI-assisted workflows across concepting, storyboarding, previsualization, editing, motion, asset generation, and production.

  • Look for opportunities to make production faster and more scalable without sacrificing craft or creative quality.

  • Have strong judgment about where AI improves the work and where traditional production and craft are the better choice.

What you bring:

You're a strong fit if you:

  • Have significant experience creating and leading high-quality video work across multiple formats.

  • Have strong directing skills and can confidently lead talent, customers, executives, crews, and external partners.

  • Are a strong visual storyteller with excellent creative judgment and taste.

  • Can take an ambiguous brief and independently develop a compelling creative direction.

  • Are genuinely hands-on and comfortable making work yourself, not only managing other people.

  • Understand production deeply enough to scope projects, build budgets, hire crews, and make smart tradeoffs between quality, speed, and cost.

  • Can work across very different production scales, from a quick internal product video to a larger studio production.

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built.

  • Are interested in technology and excited to experiment with new AI-enabled creative workflows.

Bonus if you have:

Not requirements, but we'd be especially excited if you:

  • Have motion design or animation experience.

  • Have built or helped scale an internal creative studio or video function.
