Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Job Summary 

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Dynamics CRM Functional Consultant with more than 2 years of experience in end-to-end implementation lifecycles, including requirement gathering, requirement documentation, and fit-gap analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, configuring Microsoft Dynamics CRM solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery while working closely with stakeholders and technical teams. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

Requirement Gathering & Analysis 

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their processes, pain points, and requirements. 
• Conduct workshops and interviews to gather functional and non-functional requirements. 
• Document detailed business and system requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness. 
• Perform Fit-Gap analysis to assess how Microsoft Dynamics CRM meets business needs and identify customization needs. 

Solution Design & Configuration 

• Define functional specifications for CRM implementations, including workflows, business rules, and automation. 
• Configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM components, including entities, fields, forms, views, dashboards, workflows, and security roles. 
• Collaborate with the technical team to define custom development requirements. 

Implementation & Deployment 

• Assist in CRM solution design, prototyping, and testing activities. 
• Work closely with developers and testers to ensure the correct implementation of business requirements. 
• Support data migration activities, including mapping and cleansing of data. 
• Conduct user training and prepare training materials to ensure smooth user adoption. 

Post-Implementation Support & Enhancements 

• Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues. 
• Gather user feedback and recommend enhancements for process improvements. 
• Assist in system upgrades, enhancements, and integration with third-party applications. 

Stakeholder Communication & Documentation 

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Design Documents (FDD), and User Manuals. 
• Act as a liaison between business users and the technical team to ensure smooth project execution. 
• Provide regular status updates and reports to project stakeholders. 

Key Skills & Qualifications 

• 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM functional consulting. 
• Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE modules, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Field Service. 
• Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and Fit-Gap analysis. 
• Understanding of CRM configuration, workflows, business process flows, and automation. 
• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) is an added advantage. 
• Experience with data migration, integration, and user training. 
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

Additional Requirements 

• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as per project needs. 
• Open to working in different time zones, based on client location and project requirements. 
• Work from office is mandatory.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum is a plus. 
• Strong documentation, presentation, and client-facing communication skills are essential. 
• Exposure to integration tools like KingswaySoft, Scribe, Azure Logic Apps, or working with APIs is an added advantage. 
• Experience in creating test cases, supporting UAT, and coordinating with QA teams. 
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a quick learner with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
