General Liability Defense Associate Attorney

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our General Liability Defense practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil litigation matters and a strong interest in developing their career within insurance defense. Experience with premises liability, automobile negligence, personal injury defense, or other general liability matters is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help run and assist with managing a caseload of general liability defense matters
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
• Analyze claims, develop case strategies, and provide thoughtful recommendations to clients
• Negotiate settlements and assist with cases through all stages of litigation
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members

Requirements

• 2+ years of litigation experience
• General liability and/or insurance defense experience preferred
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a desire for long-term professional growth
