General Manager - Hemmant & Cannon Hill

We are now looking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused General Manager to lead our Hemmant and Cannon Hill facilities in Queensland.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a proven operations practitioner who thrives in complex environments, inspires people to achieve their best and can balance strategic leadership with operational excellence.

Reporting to the Regional Director Operations, North, you will be accountable for the overall performance of both sites, leading safety, customer service, financial outcomes, people development, continuous improvement and operational delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Engaging and inspiring a large operational workforce across two key Queensland sites

• Supporting a culture where safety is the number one priority

• Delivering exceptional customer outcomes while strengthening strategic customer partnerships

• Taking full accountability for site P&L performance, budgeting and financial results

• Identifying and implementing productivity, efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives

• Developing and delivering operational strategies aligned with national objectives

• Championing workforce planning, succession planning and talent development initiatives

• Advocating continuous improvement across warehousing, inventory, transport and customer service functions

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, Chain of Responsibility and regulatory requirements

• Partnering with key stakeholders across Operations, Safety, HR, Engineering, Finance and Commercial teams

• Advancing innovation and operational excellence across the business

About You

You are an experienced operational leader with an impressive track record of supporting large-scale logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or distribution operations.

You'll bring:

• Extensive senior leadership experience within logistics, warehousing, supply chain, cold storage, manufacturing or related industries

• In-depth commercial acumen with proven P&L accountability

• Demonstrated success leading large, diverse and multi-layered teams

• Experience managing customer relationships in a service-driven environment

• A proven ability to improve productivity, service and operational performance

• Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• Credentials in budgeting, financial reporting and cost control

• A passion for safety leadership and building high-performance cultures

• Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management or a related discipline
