Job Summary The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full operations of a non-woven bags manufacturing facility, including production, quality control, supply chain, sales coordination, financial performance, and team leadership. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise in manufacturing, capable of driving efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily factory operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production of non-woven bags Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and deadlines Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste Ensure machinery is properly maintained and downtime is minimized Production & Quality Control Establish and enforce quality standards to meet client and regulatory requirements Monitor production KPIs (output, defects, efficiency rates) Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.) Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Financial & Business Performance Prepare and manage budgets, cost control systems, and financial reports Monitor profitability and implement cost-reduction strategies Drive revenue growth through operational efficiency and market expansion Manage procurement of raw materials (non-woven fabric, inks, accessories) Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms Oversee inventory management to avoid stock shortages or overstocking Collaborate with sales teams to align production with market demand Support key client relationships, especially bulk and corporate clients Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction Lead, mentor, and supervise production staff, supervisors, and department heads Establish clear performance targets and conduct regular evaluations Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with local labor laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage) Minimum 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in packaging, plastics, or non woven products At least 3–5 years in a senior management role Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management Strong leadership and decision-making skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Financial acumen and cost management expertise Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Experience in non-woven fabric or eco-friendly packaging industry Familiarity with export markets (EU, Middle East, Africa) Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
