Job Title: Head – Leadership Development & Six Sigma (Training & Capability Building)
Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on leader to drive leadership capability building and operational excellence across the organization. This role will be responsible for designing and delivering leadership development programs for Center Leaders, Regional Teams, and mid-level management, while embedding a strong culture of Six Sigma–driven problem solving.
The incumbent will act as a trainer, coach, and change agent—directly delivering high-impact training sessions while also building and managing a network of regional trainers. The role will play a critical part in enhancing parent experience, improving productivity, and driving revenue through structured capability development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership Development & Training
- Design and implement structured leadership development programs for:
- Center Leadership (Center Directors, Admin Leads)
- First-time managers
- Mid-level management (Regional/Cluster teams)
- Deliver engaging, practical, and outcome-oriented training sessions personally (classroom, workshops, on-ground).
- Build core leadership capabilities including:
- People management and team engagement
- Decision-making and problem-solving
- Communication and conflict resolution
- Accountability and ownership mindset
- Develop training content, playbooks, and toolkits tailored to business realities.
2. Six Sigma & Operational Excellence
- Drive adoption of Six Sigma methodologies across the organization.
- Train leadership teams on core Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, root cause analysis, process mapping, etc.).
- Enable teams to independently run projects focused on:
- Revenue growth
- Cost optimization
- Productivity improvement
- Parent satisfaction and experience enhancement
- Mentor and review Six Sigma projects led by regional and center teams.
- Track measurable impact and ROI of initiatives.
3. Parent Experience Excellence
- Embed parent-centric thinking into all leadership programs.
- Train teams on:
- Handling escalations effectively
- Improving response TAT and communication quality
- Building trust and long-term parent relationships
- Partner with operations teams to identify recurring parent pain points and address them through capability building.
4. Trainer Network Management
- Build, train, and manage a team of regional trainers.
- Ensure standardization and consistency in training delivery across regions.
- Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs to enhance trainer effectiveness.
- Monitor training quality, feedback, and impact.
5. Capability Building Strategy & Execution
- Develop a structured annual capability-building roadmap aligned to business priorities.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify skill gaps and design targeted interventions.
- Use data and feedback to continuously refine training programs.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement.
Key Requirements
Experience & Background
- 10–15 years of experience in Learning & Development, Leadership Training, or Capability Building.
- Strong hands-on experience in delivering training (not just designing programs).
- Proven track record in implementing Six Sigma / Lean methodologies in operations-driven environments.
- Experience in multi-location operations (education, retail, healthcare, or service industry preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent facilitation and training delivery skills with high energy and engagement.
- Strong understanding of leadership frameworks and adult learning principles.
- Deep expertise in Six Sigma tools and practical application.
- Strong business acumen with ability to link training to measurable outcomes.
- High ownership, execution focus, and ability to work hands-on.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
