What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
- Triage patients and assist with emergency and urgent-care cases
- Obtain complete patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive care throughout recovery
- Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Administer and dispense medications as directed
- Perform medication and dosage calculations
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures
- Provide preventive-care support and client education
- Perform CPR and assist with emergency stabilization when needed
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Previous hands-on veterinary hospital experience
- Veterinary Technician licensure or credentialing preferred, but experienced Veterinary Technician candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience with emergency care and patient triage
- Knowledge of preventive care and common veterinary medications
- Confidence with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Experience with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
- Strong diagnostic imaging and laboratory skills
- Understanding of medication and dosage calculations
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate patient records
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-first mindset
