About this role

Job Description Summary

At GE HealthCare, we're transforming the way the world sees disease, through pioneering pharmaceutical diagnostics and precision imaging. As our Global Medical Governance Excellence Lead, you'll be the architect behind the frameworks and processes that keep our Global Medical Services (GMS) organization sharp, audit-ready and operating at its best. If you thrive on turning complexity into clarity and love building things that scale across geographies, this role is for you.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

Shape & Govern

  • Own the GMS Medical Governance roadmap; implement role clarity frameworks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) matrices, design and launch risk-management processes and people-operations infrastructure across global, regional and country Medical teams.

  • Maintain headcount trackers, org charts, harmonized titles, job descriptions and distribution lists, ensuring one coherent operating picture across the GMS organization.

  • Facilitate standard project planning for strategic initiatives, with clear owners, timelines, dependencies and progress tracking.

Ensure Readiness & Quality

  • Lead audit and inspection readiness across GMS, keeping SOP adherence, training records, CAPA follow-up and documentation standards consistently inspection-ready.

  • Coordinate SOP lifecycle management with Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, Compliance and Legal, managing change control through TrackWise or equivalent systems.

  • Ensure publication, evidence-generation and scientific-communication governance are documented, accessible and fully aligned with GMS SOPs.

Build Capability & Lead

  • Lead the GMS onboarding, and design of the Medical capability-building framework, from role-specific competencies and skills mapping, training oversight to process guidance, so every team member can hit the ground running and have a robust development trajectory.

  • Provide direct line management for one Project Coordinator and leadership across governance workstreams working in a matrix with cross-functional project teams.

  • Partner with the Global Impact Excellence Lead to ensure governance metrics and insights feed into GMS leadership reporting and operating reviews.

What You'll Bring:

  • Extensive experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Operations, Medical Governance, quality or program management in a global or multi-regional matrix environment.

  • Preferred Degree qualification in life sciences, healthcare, quality, operations or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (MSc, MBA, PharmD, Lean/Six Sigma, PMP).

  • Proven track record designing governance frameworks, SOP matrices, onboarding programs and capability-building initiatives and making them stick.

  • Experience with audit/inspection readiness in Medical Affairs, SOP lifecycle management, quality-system documentation and risk-mitigation review processes.

  • Strong project and change-management skills; confident facilitator and communicator who can influence without authority across functions, geographies and seniority levels.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, AI); working knowledge of Veeva Vault, TrackWise, ComplianceWire or equivalent platforms is a plus.

This role reports to the Head of Strategy & Operations, GMS, and collaborates closely with GMS leadership, Global Medical Science, regional/country Medical teams, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, HR, Finance, Sourcing and IT/Digital. Fluent English is required.
