Are you ready to shape the future of transformer insulation technologies and help drive a more sustainable energy world? Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Product Specialist to join our North American team and play a key role in the growth and success of our transformer insulation portfolio.

In this exciting global role, you will combine market insight, technical expertise, and innovation to influence product strategy, identify new opportunities, and strengthen our competitive position in a rapidly evolving industry. You will work closely with customers, manufacturing sites, and cross-functional teams across the Americas to support existing products and help bring new solutions to market.

How you'll make an impact

  • Analyze market trends and assess their impact on the transformer insulation portfolio.

  • Identify opportunities to differentiate products through customer insights, market intelligence, and competitive analysis.

  • Evaluate technical requirements and conduct competitive assessments to uncover product improvement opportunities.

  • Maintain and enhance technical specifications to ensure product competitiveness and customer value.

  • Lead performance improvement initiatives through benchmarking activities and quality feedback analysis.

  • Support compliance with international regulations and industry standards across the product lifecycle.

  • Translate market and customer requirements into actionable inputs for product roadmaps and development activities.

  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, launch materials, and training programs for internal and external stakeholders.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, product management, market analysis, or a related role within the transformer, insulation, pulp and paper, or energy industry.

  • Strong technical understanding of transformer insulation materials, transformer technologies, or related industrial products.

  • Demonstrated experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and product positioning activities.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities effectively.

In compliance with Ontario’s Pay Transparency requirements, the expected compensation for this role is:

Salary Range: ​$113,700 - $142,100 CAD
