What you'll do

  • Lead global quality projects across Hexcel European sites, driving standardization and continuous improvement of quality practices and processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer quality performance and reducing internal scrap and cost of poor quality
  • Lead or support critical root cause investigations and corrective action processes related to major customer claims or significant internal non-conformities, ensuring rigorous application of structured methodologies (e.g., 8D)
  • Assess new customer and regulatory quality requirements, and define appropriate action plans to ensure full compliance of both global and site-level Quality Management Systems
  • Actively contribute to customer-driven quality improvement programs, such as Airbus SQIP Route to A, ensuring alignment and effective execution across European sites
  • Represent Global Quality in customer and supplier interactions, supporting communication, issue resolution, and relationship strengthening
  • Drive initiatives focused on improving customer satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on prevention, reliability, and responsiveness
  • Coach, train, and mentor European quality engineers in the effective use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D/9P, FMEA, APQP), fostering a culture of discipline and continuous improvement
  • Support global quality team with data analysis and new technologies implementation
  • Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct

  • Experience in Quality within aerospace or advanced manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of composites manufacturing processes and proven experience in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (EN/AS9100, NADCAP) and experience working in a multi-site, international environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level reporting
  • High level of rigor, discipline, and attention to detail and customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Experience with digital tools, data analytics, and quality system transformation initiatives

Hexcel is currently seeking a Global Quality Engineer M/F. The position could be based on a Hexcel European site. The Global Quality Engineer is a key contributor to Hexcel’s Global Quality organization, responsible for driving quality excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement across European operations.

Key Responsibilities
