About the Role & Program  

The Security Design and Engineering team powers the larger Global Security organization to help protect the people, assets, resources, and intellectual property of The Walt Disney Company against threats of all types. Our dynamic team is committed to developing, designing, and deploying technology applications across various areas of our enterprise. Our full spectrum of solutions includes the latest video and access management advancements, predictive analytics platforms, advanced perimeter security tools, visitor management, and even counter UAS (drones).

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area from January 2027 – June 2027.

What You Will Do

As part of the Global Security Design & Engineering (GSDE) Center of Excellence (COE), you will be responsible for the technical coordination and integration of Research & Development (R&D) and program activities.

As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:

Education 

  • Junior or Senior preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Engineering, Computer Science, Security or closely related field 

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information: 

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​

  • Be at least 18 years of age​

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization​

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information 

  • Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.

  • This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.

  • Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program

The pay rate for this role in California is $23.00 per hour.
