Global Tax Advisor

Make the Connection.

At Vix Technology, we're transforming the future of public transport.

Our technology powers fare collection, payments and mobility solutions in more than 200 cities worldwide, helping millions of people travel every day. As our international business continues to grow, we're looking for a Global Tax Advisor to join our Global Finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with business leaders and providing commercially focused tax advice. You'll play a key role in ensuring Vix remains compliant with global tax obligations while supporting strategic business decisions, acquisitions, international expansion and continuous improvement across our tax function.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CFO, you'll take ownership of tax matters across our global operations, working closely with finance teams throughout Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.

This is a broad and varied role that combines corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax governance and advisory work. You'll work alongside external advisers where appropriate while becoming the internal subject matter expert for tax across the Group.

As well as ensuring compliance, you'll help shape tax strategy, identify opportunities to improve processes and provide practical, commercially balanced advice that supports the continued growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead and coordinate tax activities across the Group, ensuring compliance while supporting strategic business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing corporate tax compliance across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Overseeing VAT, GST and indirect tax obligations, working closely with regional finance teams and external advisers.
  • Supporting the preparation and review of corporation tax computations and tax provisions.
  • Managing transfer pricing documentation and ensuring compliance with international tax regulations.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for tax authorities, external advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting tax audits, enquiries and statutory reviews across the Group.
  • Advising the business on the tax implications of commercial contracts, new market entry, acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
  • Monitoring changes in international tax legislation and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Supporting the year-end reporting process, including tax disclosures and deferred tax calculations.
  • Driving improvements in tax governance, controls, documentation and reporting processes.
  • Working closely with Legal, Finance, Commercial and Executive teams to provide practical tax advice on strategic initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Supporting finance transformation projects and the implementation of best practice across the global finance function.

Requirements

About You

You're a technically strong tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems and turning legislation into practical business advice.

You combine excellent technical knowledge with a commercial mindset, understanding that tax is an important part of supporting business growth—not just ensuring compliance.

You're comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions, building relationships with colleagues around the world and managing competing priorities in a dynamic international environment.

Most importantly, you enjoy being a trusted adviser who helps the business make informed decisions.

What You'll Bring

You'll likely have:

  • A recognised accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in corporate tax, either within practice or an international in-house tax function.
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax and experience supporting international tax matters.
  • Experience managing indirect taxes, including VAT and GST.
  • Good understanding of transfer pricing principles and international tax compliance.
  • Experience supporting tax audits and working with external advisers.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly relating to tax reporting under IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to non-specialists.
  • The ability to build effective relationships across finance, legal and commercial teams.
  • A proactive mindset and a desire to continuously improve processes and controls.

It Would Be Great If You Have

  • Experience within a multinational technology, software or engineering business.
  • Exposure to tax matters across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions or international expansion.
  • Knowledge of Pillar Two, BEPS and evolving international tax regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and tax reporting technologies.
  • Exposure to R&D tax incentives, withholding taxes and cross-border financing structures.

Don't worry if you don't have experience in every area—we're looking for someone with strong technical capability, commercial awareness and the ambition to grow with the business.
