What you'll do

  • Ensures compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Common and Specialty Program requirements.
  • Plans and manages resident physician/fellow rotation and call schedules.
  • Coordinates with other residency/fellowship program as applicable.
  • Prepares accreditation documents including, but not limited to Program Information Forms (PIF), for RRC Accreditation Review and Internal Reviews.
  • Participates as the onsite program administrator for accreditation site visits conducted by ACGME.
  • Manages and oversees recruitment activities.
  • Coordinates resident/fellowship recruitment and onboarding.
  • Oversees resident/fellowship evaluations.
  • Maintains and updates Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and Graduate Medical Education (GME) electronic databases.
  • Coordinates and administers human resource functions and participates in budget reviews and financial processes for the residency program.
  • Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of responsibilities, functions, and underlying management structure of the department and the larger institution in organizing and independently prioritizing work.
  • Establishes procedures and systems as well as ensuring orderly and timely workflow.

Summary

Responsible for the direct management of the administrative duties for Sanford’s residency/fellowship program and additional Sanford programs.

Job Description

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, education, business, or related field is required. In lieu of education, leadership may accept four years of applicable experience.

Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Possesses computer experience that includes complex database management. Familiarity with Human Resources issues and policies.
