  • Develop and maintain engineering hourly rate models, chargeability and billable ratio concepts, including project and equipment maintenance hours, as well as key expense components.
  • Ensure that financial processes and procedures are being adhered to in terms of proactive assessment, evaluation of key controls and audit support, including issue resolution.
  • Work proactively with Forecast and Budgeting during the engineering development cycles to support direction setting actions to reach expenses targets.
  • Develop project payment plan and perform cost analysis.
  • Drive team understanding of financial impact from decisions and direction taken.
  • Perform project portfolio financial reporting and serve as an active resource for balancing analysis.
  • Contribute to developing routines, processes and ways of working globally and regionally through digitalization and automation.

Job Description

Business Controller positions offered by Volvo Group North America, LLC (Greensboro, North Carolina). Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field and 3 years of experience working as a business controller in engineering prototyping and testing.
  • Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
    • Working with the following IT platforms: SAP Master Finance and SCORE (Scheduling Cost and Resource) management tool
    • Programming in Power BI, VBA, and Python for big data management
    • Working with vehicle verification and validation testing steps, engineering expenses, and cost categories
    • Calculating RIG costs
    • Working with CAPEX and Capitalization rules
  • Position reports to Greensboro, NC office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
  • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
  • Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degree.

 

We are offering a salary of $135,179 per year.
