About this role
Job Summary
We are looking for a GST Compliance with sound knowledge of accounting and GST compliance. The role will be responsible for day to day accounting and GST activities, invoice management, E Invoice generation, ITC reconciliation with business team coordination, and GST registration related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Accounting Responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of basic accounting principles and standard accounting entries.
- Hands on experience in passing Tax accounting entries for the Indian entity as well as its overseas subsidiaries US, UAE, and UK
- Ensure accurate GST accounting, including GST liability computation, input tax credit Availment, and set off.
- Support ledger scrutiny, vendor reconciliation, and month-end closing activities
Vendor Follow up and ITC Reconciliation
- Regularly Follow up with business team for correction of invoices and filing related discrepancies with Vendors for unreconciled ITC and missing invoices.
- Monitor vendor responses and ensure timely closure of pending discrepancies.
- Coordinate with vendors for GST return filing and invoice amendments wherever required.
- Maintain an ageing/status tracker for pending ITC reconciliation items.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for GST compliance and audit purposes.
GST Registration AND APOB
- Assist in GST registration, amendment and related compliance activities.
- Coordinate documentation and follow-up for Additional Place of Business APOB registration or amendment.
- Maintain GST registration certificates and related supporting documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments and consultants for GST registration requirements.
E Invoice Generation
- Reconciliation E invoice as per Sales Register and as per E Invoice Portal.
- Generate and manage E Invoices as applicable and Pending E Invoice.
- Resolve errors or mismatches arising during E Invoice with Internal Team.
Invoice Management
- Download, maintain and verify vendor invoices and GST related documents from relevant portals.
- Coordinate with internal teams for missing or incorrect invoices.
- Ensure timely recording and reconciliation of purchase invoices in the accounting system.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate in B. Com or M. Com or Inter CA.
- 2 years of experience in GST compliance and accounting.
- Good working knowledge of GST, GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GSTR 2B and GSTR2B vs Purchase register reconciliation.
- Practical knowledge of E Invoice and EWay Bill processes.
- Good understanding of accounting entries, purchase ledger and vendor reconciliation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting or ERP software.
- Good vendor follow up and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities within deadlines.
