Handyman

Our client is looking to fill a temp to permanent Handyman job. Working in a luxury serviced apartment block based in Croydon, Surrey. Salary up to £27k, M-F 9-5. Job Duties The Handyman job will involve Perform routine and extensive preventative/reactive maintenance, and painting/decoration/general fixes of rooms and communal areas. Carry out in high standard repairs and maintenance to the building, its facilities, infrastructure, and equipment including plumbing, joinery, electrical, painting, tiling, resealing. Performing preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis. Undertake fundamental Health & Safety checks as required, and maintain records accordingly. Managing the building PPM. To adhere to safety regulations, company policy, and company standards. Daily/weekly building checklists including all public areas and all plant rooms. Weekly Fire alarm testing. Cleaning and inspecting boiler/plant machinery. Report all works to the Maintenance Manager. Dealing with guest requests daily. Responding to emergency maintenance requests as required Maintaining the landscape of the building if applicable Job Requirements The ideal Handyman will have previous experience preferably in a hotel/similar residential property. Live within a short commute of location. Work using your own initiative and proactive ability to work under pressure. Be able to provide great customer service. Presentable appearance. Highly organised with ability to multi-task and prioritise. Keen attention to detail. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook etc. Job Location The Handyman job is based near to West Croydon station, Surrey CR0 2TA.
