The Hardware Engineering Intern for Leica Biosystems is involved in the design and release of a series of sustainment and value-added value engineering (VAVE) projects for cost reduction, reliability improvement or other general sustainment projects related to Leica Biosystem’s product line of Aperio Whole Slide Imaging Scanners

This position is part of the Digital Pathology Business Unit located in Vista, CA and will be on-site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Who you are:

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Some experience with CAD technologies, like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Experience working with complex electromechanical systems
  • Extreme comfort with typical Windows programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc). Bonus points for familiarity with Linux / Unix computer environments.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $25 - $35. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
